| Introductory Classes
It is required that all new clients sign up for an Introductory Class before beginning their Pilates Program with us. Both Private Introductory Classes and Group Introductory Classes are offered for your convenience.
Private Introductory Lesson
In your Private Introductory Lesson, you will meet one on one with a Certified Pilates Instructor. Together, you will discuss past exercise history, any health concerns and your fitness goals. You will then be introduced to the STOTT PILATES 5 basic Principles which will help you establish precision and control through all exercises and work out programs. You will also begin to learn Essential Pilates mat exercises as well as exercises on the V2Max Reformer. If your desire is to get into group classes, your introductory class will help you and the instructor decide which group class you would best be suited for. Many times more private lessons are needed before one is ready to enter into a group class. This is something the instructor and participate can determine during the Introductory Lesson.
Group Introductory Lesson
Group Introductory Classes are designed for 2-6 people who are beginning their Pilates program together and wish to continue in a group class setting. Our Group Introductory Lessons can be done with one Introductory class or continue as a 5 week Introductory Session.
Single Group Introductory Lesson
The class will be introduced to the STOTT PILATES 5 basic Principles which will help establish precision and control through all exercises and work out programs. The Class will then begin to learn Essential Pilates mat exercises as well as exercises on the V2Max Reformer. After this Lesson is completed, the instructor will help each participant find a suitable group class or determine if more introductory classes are needed.
5 Week Introductory Session
During this 5 week session the Instructor will take the class through the STOTT PILATES 5 basic principles and teach the class Essential Pilates exercises on the V2Max reformer, Stability Chair, and Mat & Tower as well as how and when to use the small equipment. Once this 5 week session is complete, the class will have been introduced to all of the studio equipment and its set up and will have been given a strong foundation of exercises, preparing the participants for group classes. At this point, the instructor will help each participant find a regularly scheduled group class that is suitable for that individual.
Group Classes
All Group Classes are regularly scheduled classes and run on a 5 week session. They are 1 hour in duration and have a maximum capacity of 6 participants. Each class is designed with a mind-body system of exercises that will help to create elongated muscles, build core strength and endurance and help to improve posture, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness.
