Fully Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor
Recognized by STOTT PILATES and Merrithew Health & Fitness as a Post Rehabilitation Specialist

Tonya works with clients of all abilities: from post-rehabilitation to advanced. "I love working with a variety of people each day and seeing them experience the benefits of Pilates. Whether they are here to get in shape, stay in shape, improve their sport, or improve their quality of life, it brings me joy knowing that I am helping them achieve that goal."
Tonya graduated from Missouri State University with a BFA in Dance Performance. She took her first Pilates mat class at an American College Dance Festival in 1995, which sparked her interest in Pilates. Eight years later, after doing Pilates on her own and loving the way it made her feel and look, she decided to go for her certification in August of 2003, so she could teach others.
Tonya received her level I & II Certification in 2006. The combination of her love for dance and movement, with her interest in anatomy and bio-mechanics, has proven to be a great asset in her teaching.
Tonya is also a graduate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, is a Certified Holistic Health Coach, and has her Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Tonya believes that nutrition and exercise are undeniable assets in living a well-balanced life full of health and happiness.
Chrissy Tourkakis
Certified Pilates Instructor
Fully Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor
Certification in JUVO BOARD
Teaching Pilates since 2017
Chrissy began practicing Pilates in 2010 at Premier Pilates St. Louis when she purchased a Pilates studio gift certificate for her mom's birthday and promised to tag along (great gift, by the way). Introductory lessons quickly turned into a passionate love of the method.
Chrissy holds a BA in Anthropology from Washington University. She completed her MA in Biological Anthropology from Iowa State University in 2009. A collector of odd jobs, and a lifelong student at heart, Chrissy has been an anthropologist, a zookeeper, a dental office administrator, a wedding photographer, and mom to two precious girls, and has practiced Pilates through it all.
"I find the scientific layers of the Pilates method inspiring- especially the plasticity and adaptability of the method to suit every person at any time in their life. I have always been active but I never considered myself an athlete and I don't have a background in dance, which people often associate with Pilates. The Pilates method has made me feel strong, graceful, and athletic in a way I had never envisioned for myself.” Chrissy relishes a great Pilates flow with good music and group class camaraderie. More than anything, she loves helping her clients feel their best through movement.
When not in the studio, Chrissy loves spending time with her sweet family, exploring the great outdoors, shooting a roll of film in her Hasselblad, marathoning audiobooks/podcasts, or drinking a good craft cocktail.
Melanie Summers
Certified Pilates Instructor
Fully Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor
Teaching Pilates since 2007
Melanie began taking Pilates Mat classes at her personal gym. She soon followed her instructor (Dana) to the studio and was introduced to the reformer. It didn't take long for her to fall in love with Pilates and quickly become a certified instructor in the STOTT PILATES Method.
"Pilates is a fun, challenging workout for the mind and body. I have tried a variety of workouts, but there's nothing quite like Pilates." Melanie is known to challenge her group classes with new exercises and increased precision.
Pilates is a great complement to her background as an Occupational Therapist for the Special School District. She has a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys crafts, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Emily Murnin
Certified Pilates Instructor
Certified Level I in the STOTT PILATES method
Trained Level II in the STOTT PILATES method and Injuries and Special Populations
Teaching Pilates since 2019
Emily has always been very fitness focused. Emily enjoys boxing, boot camps, weight training, Barre, and running. However, she had never tried Pilates. After her first class, she was hooked! "I discovered Pilates in 2017 when a friend encouraged me to try one of her classes. Pilates is the perfect complement to my regular weight training and running program. I became such a regular at the studio where my friend taught and was such a fan of Pilates that she suggested I train to become an instructor.”
Level I Matwork was her first training course and after completing that, she knew becoming an instructor was definitely what she wanted to do and wanted to continue her training to teach on all of the Pilates equipment. One of the things she especially loves about Pilates is how the exercises are modifiable to accommodate any body type and fitness level.
When not teaching, Emily enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling, running, and weight training at the gym.
Megan Rancour
Certified Pilates Instructor
Fully Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor
Teaching Pilates since 2021
Megan was first introduced to Pilates in 2013 as part of a Conditioning for Dancers course at Western Michigan University. She knew she liked the exercise method, but did not start to really devote time to it until a friend was going through certification and needed practice clients. Taking them up on the offer made her fall in love with the practice and benefits. She then decided to pursue her own certification.
As an instructor, her passion lies in helping her clients achieve and maintain a pain free life, as well as feel strong and confident outside of their classes and lessons.
Outside the studio, Megan is a Professional Dancer and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Business from Western Michigan University. After graduation, she moved to St. Louis to work with Saint Louis Dance Theatre (formerly The Big Muddy Dance Company) as a trainee. She has been a Company Member with them for the past five seasons and also serves their Studio Manager.

Gina started Pilates in 2015 after seeing firsthand how it helped her sister work through shoulder pain after a car accident. Gina observed through the Pilates method, her sister gained mobility which helped manage and minimize pain. Wanting to see what Pilates could do for her, Gina started practicing the method.
"What started as just a way for me to strengthen my core once a week, turned into the classes I looked forward to and never wanted to miss. Pilates has toned my body and increased my flexibility. Nothing compares to the challenge, both mind and body, of a Pilates workout."
Her love for Pilates pushed her to become a certified instructor in order to help others transform, strengthen and align their bodies.
In her free time Gina loves spending time with her family, going out for a nice dinner, and enjoying a glass of wine!

Brittany Drew
Pilates Instructor
Trained in Level l & ll Mat & Reformer in the STOTT PILATES Method
Currently working towards becoming a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES instructor
Teaching Pilates since 2023
Before finding Pilates, Brittany worked for years at a desk and started to suffer from multiple disc herniations in her neck and low back. It got to the point where she couldn’t turn her neck or even stand up straight. She tried everything short of surgery to treat the pain. Nothing would last longer than a few months. She became depressed and sedentary. At the end of her rope, Brittany walked into a Pilates studio in California thinking, “what have I got to lose"?”
Well, it turns out she “lost” a lot, a lot of pain and gained a super strong core, igniting her love for Pilates! It has been 8 years since she walked into that studio and she is grateful everyday for that decision.
Seeing the transformation in herself, Brittany realized that she could help others to lose the pain and gain the strength their body needs to stay healthy and happy. She is trained in the STOTT PILATES method and currently working toward her full certification.
“I love coming up with fun and creative ways to challenge myself and students who take my classes. I focus a lot on core work especially the abdominals.”
A fun fact about Brittany is: Her golden retriever is a big fan of mat work. His favorite exercise is “dead bug.”
